2012 marks the 40th year of heritage flying in Hamilton by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, “Canada’s Flying Museum”. To celebrate this, the 2012 Hamilton Airshow brought together one of the largest gatherings of vintage aircraft in Canada ever! The Museum has assembled one of the largest collections of flying vintage aircraft ever seen in Canada for the Airshow, including the iconic Lancaster and the only Canadian appearance of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, which helped turn the tide of WWII in the South Pacific.
