London Airshow 2020 (Sky Drive) https://jetstreamphotography.com/sky-drive-2020/ Thu, 17 Sep 2020 12:45:02 +0000 http://jetstreamphotography.com/?p=8150 [...]]]> Welcome to Airshow Lon.. I mean welcome to Sky Drive 2020! In a year where nothing has gone to plan, give it to the organziners of Airshow London to bring us a show. ASL brought Canada’s first and only airshow in 2020 and man did they deliver! The USAF supported the show with all ACC demo teams, which is a sight we will probably not witness again. Flybys also from a B-52, E-3 and CF-18’s carried out a refueling demo with a CC-150 Polairs. The Thunderbirds closed the show each day with there spectacular display. The drive in event was a huge success and alot of postive comments could be heard around the show. Could this be the future of airshows for the time being? only time will tell. A good static display ,vendors and of course food is still very hard to beat!

AN-225 Mryia delivers PPE to Toronto https://jetstreamphotography.com/an-225-mryia-delivers-ppe-to-toronto/ Wed, 03 Jun 2020 22:54:19 +0000 http://jetstreamphotography.com/?p=8097 [...]]]> On May 30th the worlds biggest aircraft the Antonov AN-225 Mriya stopped in YYZ .  The AN-225 has been flying all over the world to help deliver medical supplies to support the fight against COVID-19. It delivered over 25,000 boxes of PPE to front line workers.

Before COVID-19, majority of cargo arriving and departing from Pearson was computer components, precious stones and minerals, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, fresh fruit, vegetables, and other food and textiles. However, in these changing times, Pearson has become a critical link for air cargo, ensuring Canada has access to time critical medical supplies, highly perishable goods and materials needed to support economic stability and recovery.

2019 Airshow London https://jetstreamphotography.com/2019-airshow-london/ Thu, 19 Sep 2019 23:58:01 +0000 http://jetstreamphotography.com/?p=4815 [...]]]> Airshow London was back in 2019 for its 4th consecutive year. The highly anticipated show in Ontario is a must attend for those highly interested in Military aviation. The show started off to rocky start with the Friday night twilight show being scrubbed due to severe weather. Saturday morning presented a much better day and it was show time. Highlights in the flying displays included the Canadian forces snowbirds, CF-18 demonstration team, and demonstration team. The static ramp was full even with a few cancellations due to the recent hurricane in the Caribbean. The organizers put on another fantastic show and this is one of my favourite local shows. Looking forward to the 2020 edition when the USAF thunderbirds will perform

Refeuling with the 60th Air Wing Travis AFB https://jetstreamphotography.com/refeuling-with-the-60th-air-wing-travis-afb/ Tue, 09 Apr 2019 06:24:38 +0000 http://jetstreamphotography.com/?p=4491 [...]]]> Jetstream Photography had the pleasure to fly aboard a KC-10 from the 60th Air Wing from Travis AFB on a local refueling mission. Our day started as we took off from Travis AFB and quickly caught up with another KC-10. We made multiple contacts with the KC-10 which offered spectacular views and showed the precession flying skills of the crew as the handled the big jet with ease. We finished receiving fuel from the KC10 and headed over the Nevada desert to meet up with a Boeing E-3 Sentry from Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. We offloaded 10,000 pounds of fuel to the E-3 Sentry. Our next receivers included a pair of A-10s coming from Arizona which we unloaded 4500 pounds to each A-10. The A-10’s accompanied us back to Travis AFB where they were on static for the Thunder over the bay airshow. Having worked on the civilian version of this aircraft for 5 years, this marked the first time I flew on it which added to my excitement for this flight. Big thanks to SSGT Amber Carter , Lt Rachel Brinegar , Megan Morrissey USAF and the entire Travis Team for making this flight happen
